Appointed by Referring Party’s solicitors as quantum expert in a Final Certificate dispute in adjudication where the Referring Party (the Main Contractor) where asserting an amount of £477k was owed to it by the Responding Party (the Employer), and the Responding Party stated it was owed £674k by the Main Contractor.

The key differences in the account were primarily related to the demonstration of entitlement and Loss and/or Expense and the identification of the actual costs incurred. In numerous instances the adjudicator preferred the logic and evidence provided by Pyments and awarded an amount due to the Main Contractor in respect of the Final Certificate of £281k.
